Plan For Freedom by Timothy Baldwin PDF Print E-mail

In a recent article, radio talk-show host, columnist for the Washington Times and president of the Edmund Burke Institute, Jeffrey Kuhner, asks the question, “Will America break up?”[1] Kuhner is not the only intelligent and reasonable person asking this question and predicting its reality. Igor Panarin, a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian foreign affairs ministry, predicts that given the way the federal government handles its finances and given the unrecoverable deficit of the U.S., the U.S. is undoubtedly bound for “extinction in its present form,”[2] not even mentioning the political, cultural, religious, moral and foreign-entanglement turmoil of the U.S.

The question is rightfully being asked more, and as such, the question should be defined and understood more precisely and constructively so that people are aware of what “breakup of America” really means.

Bill Clinton Worried about Secessionists in Idaho? PDF Print E-mail

Recent statements from Bill Clinton particularly identify secessionists in Idaho as a terrorist threat:

CLINTON: The only point I tried to make is that when I went back and started preparing for the 15th anniversary of Oklahoma City, I realized that there were a lot of parallels between the early '90s and now, both in the feeling of economic dislocation, and the level of uncertainty people felt. The rise of kind of identity politics. The rise of the militia movements and the right wing talk radio with a lot of what's going on in the blogosphere now.

And in the right wing media, and with Oath Keepers, the 3 percenters, the -- all these people, you know, who are saying things like, "If Idaho wants to succeed from the union," the militia group out there says, you know, "We'll back them." One leader of one of these groups said that all politics was just a prelude to civil war. And then the politicians of course have not been that serious, but a lot of the things that have been said, they -- they create a climate in which people who are vulnerable to violence because they are disoriented like Timothy McVeigh was are more likely to act.

An Ignorant Citizenry Tolerates Tyranny PDF Print E-mail

If a citizenry doesn't know the purpose, function, and limitations of the State, then the State can do whatever it wants to do because the citizenry doesn't realize anything improper is being done. For there to be any indignation towards acts of tyranny by the State, one must know that tyranny is taking place. Unfortunately in America today, most citizens wouldn't recognize tyranny if it came up and bit them on the end of the nose.

Tyrants bank on such ignorance, and the legislative agenda of the political class thrives under such conditions.

Aldous Huxley, in his book, Brave New World, wrote of a citizenry of slaves who would love their enslavement. Huxley writes, "A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude." This is precisely what our federal government has been trying to do to the American citizenry for decades now.

We saw an example of this just the other week. After the Obama administration strong-armed their health-care bill through Congress, they immediately sent out their minions to convince the American people of "how this will benefit them."

Hail the "No Chippen' Chickens" Act

When REAL ID was introduced in 2005, the patriots of South Carolina lobbied their legislature to prevent it. Not only was a State bill passed to stop it, effectively nullifying REAL ID in South Carolina, but it provided impetus to a nationwide movement to interpose against the act at the State level. It was a great success, and effectively stonewalled implementation of a national ID card in America for the time being.

Now, in the attempt to put small farmers out of business, and lock up the national food supply for Monsanto and other corporate masters of Congress, the NAIS is mandating the tracking of all farm animals using RFID. Many ranchers are already using this technology voluntarily, but the NAIS would force it upon all owners of livestock.

Rep Duncan has introduced a fine bill to prevent this in South Carolina. He should be congratulated and thanked by the people of South Carolina (803) 734-3022. Also, if you live in South Carolina, please call your house representative to encourage them to co-sponsor H-4840. If you are interested in volunteering to help lobby in favor of this bill (quoted below), please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Parting Company by Walter E. Williams PDF Print E-mail
Written by Walter Williams

Here's the question asked in my September 2000 column titled "It's Time To Part Company": "If one group of people prefers government control and management of people's lives and another prefers liberty and a desire to be left alone, should they be required to fight, antagonize one another, risk bloodshed and loss of life in order to impose their preferences or should they be able to peaceably part company and go their separate ways?"

The problem that our nation faces is very much like a marriage where one partner has broken, and has no intention of keeping, the marital vows. Of course, the marriage can remain intact and one party tries to impose his will on the other and engage in the deviousness of one-upsmanship. Rather than submission by one party or domestic violence, a more peaceable alternative is separation.

I believe we are nearing a point where there are enough irreconcilable differences between those Americans who want to control other Americans and those Americans who want to be left alone that separation is the only peaceable alternative. Just as in a marriage, where vows are broken, our human rights protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution have been grossly violated by a government instituted to protect them. The Democrat-controlled Washington is simply an escalation of a process that has been in full stride for at least two decades. There is no evidence that Americans who are responsible for and support constitutional abrogation have any intention of mending their ways.
