This New Year's Eve I had a dream in which I was running with Ron Paul. He was running home, and I was running with him. We went past some busy traffic, and into a neighborhood. We stopped by a house I was living at there, and I asked him, "Is there anything I can get for you, Mr. President?" I gave him some water, and showed him some food in the fridge. He said he wanted a leftover chicken dish. I served him dinner. My wife came home, and she asked him a question about policy. He patiently took the time to explain to her something that she obviously didn't understand. I was baffled that he would take the time to speak with regular people like us. Then he continued on his run, and I tried to run after him for a while, but I was falling behind. He stopped to rest, and he was complaining about government interference in medicine. It seemed appropriate, him being a doctor and all, but I had never heard him speak so harshly against it. I have not yet been involved in the Ron Paul 2012 campaign, so I don't know what this means.
I don't know the future, and maybe this is just wishful thinking; but I predict that 2012 will be the year of Ron Paul. I predict that he will cause tremendous upheaval and make a significant mark in history. If he becomes President, I theorize that the powers-that-be will unleash all sorts of chaos, economic collapse, civil unrest, and even fragmentation of these United States. They will blame it all on Ron Paul (even though he had nothing to do with it) and the simple-minded American people will cry for his impeachment. [Update 1/31/2012] Running with Ron Paul today. Saw him in Fort Collins, and Denver, Colorado. Great turnout and enthusiasm. {youtube}MaGAgf9gvI0{/youtube}

I have to admit, after reading the Washington Post article
about the Air Force dumping the remains of soldiers in a landfill, I wasn’t too
surprised. Anyone who has ever been in
the military will tell you that their lives aren’t counted for much.
Of course, that bit of news was preceded by the Senate vote
on Bill 1867, which gives the military the ability to arrest anyone in America and
hold them without trial. That didn’t catch me off guard either – or the
near-fatal shooting of an American veteran at the “Occupy San Francisco rally a
month or so ago.
Then there was that messy little affair that culminated in
the murder of an American citizen in the mid East by a predator drone, operated
anonymously by an ex-gamer with a game
boy joystick. I wasn’t all that surprised that the POTUS would do that.
I guess when you’ve witnessed over 60 million babies end up
in landfills since 1972, watched Kent State college students shot by National
Guardsmen, and many reports about brave police officers protecting their lives
by beating and tasing grandmothers or the CIA’s killing bad people throughout
the world for over sixty years, the methodical
destruction of those pesky aboriginal tribes, or the American Negro, your skin
gets comfortably thick. Nah, my conscience doesn’t really bother me – “Does
your conscience bother you? Now tell the truth”…
No, I sleep well at night – knowing that the god I worship
will take care of me. That god never sleeps. It watches over me through my
phone, my computer, and my neighbors. No, I have no reason to fear, I’m well
taken care of.
I give generously when the commercial comes on that tells me
how I can send money to help the poor puppies and kitties.
Why should I resist the irresistible? I’m bombarded with
promises of sex and drugs from all sides.
I’ll be glad to hand over any food, guns, friends or family members to
appease my god. Every god requires sacrificial offerings. Come to think of it,
there’s not much difference between my god and the Muslims – except for the
fact that my god promises me 70 virgins to enjoy now, not later.
I can’t feel anything actually. I thank god for modern
chemicals, human-engineered food, and of course, blessed insurance. I love my
country no matter what it does in my name. Of course I believe that all human
life is important - it’s just that I’m more important.
I’m proud to say that I vote every direction, I mean every election. I guess Newt Richgrinch is okay, but I’m in
love with Bachman (too bad she burned her overdrive).
You know, I really shouldn’t give a Mitt who I vote for, as long as there is an
“R” behind their name! Except that crazy doctor guy, what’s -his –name.
No, I can’t see anything wrong with my world. I see no
reason to change anything that I think or do.

Josephine
County, Ore. -- Two months ago Gil Gilbertson, the sheriff
of this rural county in southern Oregon, drafted
a 10-page report exploring the origins and extent of federal power
within a state and emailed his findings to various parties, asking for
comment.
Since
the report was in rough-draft form he was somewhat surprised
that it went viral, but it shows there are a lot of people hungry for
information about how much power (particularly law-enforcement power)
the federal government actually wields within a state, where that power
comes from, and the limits to that power.
Gilbertson
continued his research and recently completed a 13-page revised and
updated version, retitled: Unraveling
Federal Jurisdiction within a State. It is highly footnoted with
references to statutes and court decisions.
This
a “must read” for anyone concerned about infringements against
the 10th Amendment and federal encroachments in general – like
road closures, Wild Lands and Monument designations, mining and other
resource uses. In other words, this is for anyone and everybody with
an interest – no matter how casual -- in accessing the public
lands, either as a “resource user” (a rancher or miner)
or simply a casual vacationer who enjoys weekend camping. “If
you’d told me two years ago that I would be writing such a document,
I would have probably walked away from you shaking my head,” the
sheriff notes in the introduction.
“This
paper is a result of a clash with the federal [U.S. Forest Service]
law enforcement in this county, from citizens complaining of what can
only be described as harassment and violations of their rights,”
he explains. “The first time I approached the USFS the door closed
regarding any discussion. The USFS advised me to file a Freedom of Information
(FOI) request. "

On the eve of the 213th anniversary of the passage of
Thomas Jefferson’s Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, laying the intellectual
groundwork of nullification, the people of Ohio exercised their power
and nullified the insurance mandate in the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act.
Ohioans passed Issue Three, a constitutional amendment
to preserve their right to choose their own health care and health care
coverage. Preliminary returns indicated a wide margin of victory, with
more than 60 percent approving the amendment. The amendment makes it
illegal for any local, state or federal law to require Ohio residents to
purchase health insurance, effectively nullifying a key component of
the PPACA.
“This signifies that state level resistance to federal power is not
just an old idea relegated to history books,” Tenth Amendment Center
executive director Michael Boldin said, “It’s something that’s alive and
well right now.”
Ohio became the tenth state to reject the insurance mandates in the PPACA. Read More

Christian Exodus began several years ago as a political movement, seeking social change through planned migration and voter mobilization. The purpose of a transformation of society by Christian principles remains the same, as well as the strategy of planned migration, but we have realized over the years that the means to accomplish real transformation requires far more time and effort. The transformation of society requires the raising up of a new generation, and takes about a generation to accomplish. In the interests of getting back to the basics of raising children, we seek to provide an environment conducive to the preservation of Christian culture through a network of independent living communities. These essays provide a theological basis for the virtues of procreation, holiness in marriage, and divine order in the home. Mandate

We often hear about the example of Deborah as an Old Testament prophet. Examples of female leadership are so rare in the Bible, that this is an exception, rather than a rule. Deborah rebuked Barak for his lack of male courage, and said that he would be shamed, in that the victory against Sisera would come by the hand of a woman.
In the diagnosis of the root of all evil in our modern society, there is a woman who simply NAILS it.

My father worked for the Federal government for over thirty five years, which included, (for all you army, air force or navy brats) , his “time in grade” during WWII. After the war, my father transitioned to the M.S.T.S, (the Military Sea Transportation Service), which later became the Military Sealift Command or M.S.C. Like too many ‘brats’, my childhood resembled something much more like that portrayed in “The Great Santini”, (which cast Robert Duvall as an over-bearing disciplinarian who, when he wasn’t instilling terror in the enemy pilots he engaged , was equally menacing to his family at home) than it did “Ossie and Harriet”. As with most people, my father wasn’t completely devoid of generosity however, and would, on occasion (and as money allowed), bring home gifts from exotic places like Japan,Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, and Viet Nam. One item that stands out in my mind was a deck of “M.S.T.S.” playing cards that he had brought home from the ship, which had the slogan “Safety First” placed inside the circular emblem. That was in 1962. Now having ‘safety’ as a priority for any organization is not inherently wrong; after all, God commands railings to be placed around rooftops as mentioned in the Old Testament. But when the idea of safety is exalted to the level of a mission statement and mantra as it has been today, it essentially trumps the effectiveness and efficiency of any other endeavor, and inevitablely destroys Freedom through excessive laws and regulations. I will concede that, because we are made in God’s image, we ought to practice prudence in our endeavors. There is, however, a balance that must be struck between over-protectionism and recklessness, and this can only be based upon a mutually agreed upon contract between individuals.
Witness the increased intrusion of the government nanny state into every affair of mankind today. Speed limits, seat belt laws, anti-alcohol, uh , I mean drug laws, mandatory helmet laws for children, ‘child protective services’, labor unions, FEMA,forced labeling for products, forced innoculations (thanks Governor Perry), and the list goes on and on. One needn’t look further that the Top-heavy OSHA beauracracy, (whose code book rivals the IRS Tax Code). We allow the murder of innocent babies either because it helps ‘keep mothers safe’, or, in an especially obscene twist of logic, ‘It’s really better in the long run for the baby this way’. What is most insidious about a ‘safety first’ mindset is that the counter argument evokes such a religious fanatacism from It’s vaunted and noble supporters . “How could anyone oppose the idea of preserving life and limb?” it may be said. It’s particularly appealing to the weaker sex, because, after all, they have the ‘nurturing genes’. How ironic. But this onerous cancer doesn’t end with domestic meddling; in fact , like a pervasive knoxious weed, it strangles and threatens every aspect of human endeavor throughout the entire planet by the ever expanding government entities that are required in order to police “the unwashed”. Enter the U.N. In this country, and throughout the world, we have destroyed any semblance of Liberty under the auspices of ‘keeping Americans and our allies safe from terrorism’. We have murdered Iraqis, Afghanis, South Americans, and many others, and now (officially at least) American citizens in order to protect American Citizens.
Is there nothing we won’t do to keep people safe?

A new website and strategy for ending the holocaust of the preborn has
been launched by a cooperative effort of pro-life leaders: States of Refuge.org.
Five states in particular have been chosen due to being the most vulnerable and weakest of the prenatal child-killing industry: Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. These states have been targeted as states as refuge from the sin of blood-guilt staining America.
Christians are asked to pray and lend their support to making these five states abortion free.

Obama Preparing for Martial Law During Hyperinflation by the National Inflation Association In August of 2009, the city of Paterson, New Jersey, proposed the implementation of martial law by imposing an adult curfew at night in an attempt to curb violence. This unprecedented proposed ordinance would have made it illegal for adults to leave their homes and be out in the public in Paterson between the hours of 12AM and 7AM, with a penalty of up to a $2,000 fine and 90 days in jail. This ordinance would have been completely unconstitutional, especially being that it was a non-emergency situation. NIA actually determined that violence in the city was down that year and trending downward over the previous few years. We thought for sure that there was more to the story than what was being reported by the mainstream media, so we traveled to Paterson City Hall and attempted to interview then-Mayor Joey Torres on camera. The mayor turned down the interview and refused to answer our questions even off camera. As we left the mayor's office, we met a city employee who overheard our conversation and introduced us to then-City Council President Jeffery Jones, who agreed to an interview and invited us into his office. Jones explained to us that he is the City Council President and the first time he ever heard of this proposal was from the Associated Press, after Torres already announced it on the steps of the police department saying, "we're trying to think outside the box" in regards to solving crime issues. Jones expressed disbelief that the mayor would want to lock down an entire city including the people who aren't committing crimes. He was also surprised that the AP already had a list of the 30 shootings that occurred in the city during the previous year, when this was undisclosed information that even he didn't have at the time. Jones was flabbergasted that this ordinance was even being considered since it completely lacked logic. He said that in the past before any other ordinances were publicly announced by the mayor, there would always be a comprehensive discussion about it between local government officials. Not only was there no discussion about it, but Torres hastily added it to the City Council's agenda for a vote at their very next meeting. Jones was perplexed not just by the total lack of discussion and rush to get it passed, but by the total lack of details in the ordinance regarding the roles of departments, agencies, and the police department's capacity to do the work. Using common sense, Jones said that if the police department had the capacity to enforce the ordinance, we wouldn't even be discussing it. NIA agreed with Jones that if the police department couldn't prevent the 30 shootings from taking place in the city, there is no way on earth that it will have the ability to enforce an ordinance keeping 146,199 residents in their homes at night. Torres must have known that and must have also known that proposing this ordinance would be career suicide. Therefore, we see no logical explanation as to why Torres would propose this during a time when crime in the city was declining and he was up for reelection the very next year. Even a preschool child with no political experience would focus on taking credit for the reduction in crime, instead of giving the impression that the city has no protection or safety for its residents by proclaiming they must all be locked down. Paterson is one of the largest recipients of federal funding per capita in the U.S. It makes total sense to NIA if the Federal Government was forcing Torres to propose this ordinance. The government most likely wanted to gauge the public's reaction and see what type of outrage there would be in response to this proposal. The government wanted to see just how many residents would be willing to so easily give up their freedom and liberty in the name of safety by supporting the ordinance. The government wanted to know how difficult it would be to get the ordinance passed and if it was passed, they wanted to see what it would take to enforce it. A real life trial of martial law in one of the largest cities in the New York metropolitan area would allow the military to be better equipped to handle all types of situations when martial law takes place on a nationwide basis during hyperinflation. The reason why we believe the ordinance was so vague with no details about enforcement is simple, the police department was never intended to enforce the ordinance. In the event that the ordinance was passed, there would immediately be thousands of brand new criminals breaking the law in Paterson and Torres would have a need to ask the Federal Government to bring in the U.S. military to detain the thousands of criminals who were disobeying the law. The Federal Government would in effect be creating a phony conflict in a city with a high crime rate so that they can justify using the U.S. military at home. Last year, President Obama signed an Executive Order "Establishment of the Council of Governors", which Obama claims is an order to strengthen further the "partnership" between the Federal Government and State governments to "protect" our Nation and its people and property. It orders that a council be created of 10 State Governors appointed by the President who will meet to exchange information with the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Homeland Security, and many other government officials related to the military. Their meetings will concern matters involving the National Guard of the various States, homeland defense, civil support, synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities. From our experience, we know that the words "partnership" and "protect" are being used in this order to deceive the public into believing the Executive Order serves some kind of a noble purpose, which to us shows malicious intent behind the creation of the order. "Civil support" in this Executive Order can't possibly mean anything other than martial law when civil unrest takes place inside of a city. This Executive Order is an attempt to invalidate the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 and make it legal for the military to enforce civilian laws inside of a city like Paterson. You would think that an Executive Order this outrageous and disturbing would have all Americans up in arms, but the mainstream media completely ignored this latest attempt by Obama to transfer power from state and local governments to the Federal Government, and didn't have one single report about it. Interestingly, Obama was just in Paterson this past Sunday touring parts of the city damaged by Hurricane Irene with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and newly elected Paterson Mayor Jeffery Jones. (Jones in late-September 2009 rejected the adult curfew ordinance of former-Paterson Mayor Joey Torres and in 2010 ran against him for mayor, defeating him despite being outspent 17 to 1.) Hurricane Irene caused the worst flooding crisis in city history. Mandatory evacuations were ordered for parts of the city, forcing thousands of people out of their homes and hundreds of businesses to close. All across Paterson, store shelves were empty with no food, water, batteries, or flashlights available to purchase anywhere. With most of the main streets and bridges into the city flooded, trucks weren't able to enter the city to replenish stores with supplies. As bad as the flooding from Hurricane Irene was for Paterson residents, it is nothing compared to the devastation and destruction that will be caused by a different kind of flooding from Obama and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Obama and Bernanke have been flooding the world with trillions of U.S. dollars with the false belief that because Treasury yields have been falling to record lows, Obama can run trillion dollar budget deficits with Bernanke leaving the Federal Funds Rate near zero forever. Their actions are setting up the next major U.S. financial crisis, which will be massive price inflation that eventually results in hyperinflation and leads to government price controls. The empty store shelves in Paterson from Hurricane Irene are finally being replenished now that flood waters are subsiding. Unfortunately, the empty store shelves that will arise from hyperinflation and government price controls, will be permanent. The 77-foot high Great Falls and river that was responsible for most of the flooding in Paterson, was previously used for centuries to power dozens of surrounding mills that produced textiles, firearms, and railroad locomotive products. Paterson eventually became one of the world's largest producing cities of silk, with 50% of U.S. silk production coming from Paterson, and was later named the "Silk City". Immigrants from all around the world who moved to the U.S., came to Paterson from Ellis Island to get their first job in America at one of Paterson's many factories. Today, there are no more silk mills left in Paterson and unemployment in the city is nearly double the national average. With 30% of Paterson residents living below poverty, Paterson is one of the U.S. cities that will be hurt most by the massive monetary inflation of the Federal Reserve. The majority of people in Paterson are relying on government entitlement programs just to survive and don't have the financial resources to accumulate physical gold and silver. While in Paterson, Obama pledged Federal Government funding to residents who were devastated by the hurricane. The White House has estimated that the U.S. government's cost for Hurricane Irene relief will be around $1.5 billion, but the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) only has $800 million in funds left. FEMA will soon be asking Congress for billions of dollars that our government doesn't have and the Federal Reserve will be forced to print. By printing the FEMA funds to be provided to people in Paterson, the food stamps, unemployment checks, welfare checks, and other government entitlements that Paterson residents depend on to survive, will all lose their purchasing power, making residents more dependent on government than ever. This is Obama's strategy to get reelected, promise people more government handouts that instead of helping them, cause the U.S. dollar to lose its purchasing power and make the people as dependent on government as possible. NIA believes the main reason Obama went to Paterson was to see exactly how residents responded to mandatory evacuations and empty store shelves. He knows that Paterson is a microcosm of what the whole entire U.S. will soon look like during hyperinflation. That is why the Federal Government was so eager to run martial law tests and trials in Paterson. They know that the city is practically on the verge already of having rioting, looting, and civil unrest, before hyperinflation arrives. By providing Paterson with more federal funds, we are sure a secret deal will be worked out that will allow the Federal Government to push through their plans for a martial law trial in Paterson without any resistance from local government officials NIA believes that the Federal Government has no business providing funds to victims of hurricanes and other natural disasters. There is absolutely nothing in the U.S. Constitution that authorizes it. Most Americans are afraid to speak out against helping victims of natural disasters, but FEMA is a bureaucratic waste that needs to be eliminated in favor of free market solutions. During Hurricane Katrina, thousands of Americans volunteered to help out in disaster relief, but instead of being put straight to work they were told to sit around for hours, which turned into days, and many of them decided to just go home. FEMA spent an outrageous $416,000 per person to provide temporary housing for several hundred Hurricane Katrina evacuees in Alabama. FEMA even paid $800 million to manufacture 11,000 mobile homes to be used as shelter for Hurricane Katrina victims, but they were never used and were left to waste away in Arkansas. The most shocking FEMA debacle is when they decided to give out thousands of debit cards with $2,000 on them to Hurricane Katrina victims. Many people ended up using these debit cards at strip clubs. A jail escapee convicted of murder was even able to say he was a Hurricane Katrina victim and get a free $2,000 FEMA debit card, which he used to buy beer and drugs, before paying a limo driver to transport him far out of the area. A Red Cross volunteer was convicted and jailed for stealing $250,000 worth of these debit cards and we are sure that others got away with stealing millions of dollars worth of them. If Americans didn't have the mindset that FEMA will always be there to rescue them, more Americans would have full insurance coverage on their homes. One Paterson resident who we saw on the nightly news crying about his home being flooded and how he didn't have money for flood insurance, had an iPhone in his hand. The average annual flood insurance policy costs less than the average annual mobile phone bill. If the cost of insurance to cover flood damages is extraordinarily high in certain areas because the locations are prone to flood, then Americans shouldn't be living there. Americans who are smart enough not to build a home on the edge of a cliff or next to a river, shouldn't be forced to pay for incompetent Americans who did. It is the existence of FEMA that encourages Americans to build in risky locations without thinking of the consequences. Ever since Christie was elected Governor of New Jersey, he has surpassed the expectations we had for him, taking dramatic steps to cut wasteful spending in the state. Unfortunately, he appears to have changed his beliefs due to a Category 1 hurricane. He now doesn't even think it is necessary for the Federal Government to cut enough spending in parts of the budget to cover its spending on hurricane relief. The fact is, if Christie wants to help residents of New Jersey, he should have reserves set aside to do so on his own. If anybody in government is responsible for helping New Jersey residents hurt by Hurricane Irene, it is Christie himself. Instead of state and local elected representatives putting funds aside for a rainy day, it seems as though their entire purpose is to beg the Federal Government for relief. NIA expects Sarah Palin to announce her candidacy for the Republican Nomination for President of the United States this month. It was a prediction that NIA originally made in its top 10 predictions for 2011 back in January. We give her credit for helping build $14 billion in state reserves while she was Governor of Alaska, before quitting the job that she was nominated for. If a natural disaster strikes Alaska, they will be able to take care of themselves. Unfortunately, these Alaskans would in effect be punished for their good decisions by being forced to pay for the reckless decisions of other states. Many other states would also have large reserves for a rainy day if it wasn't for the Federal Government creating a moral hazard by providing funding to state and local governments for disaster relief. If Alaska was smart they would secede from the union and become their own country. Alaska currently has no state income tax or sales tax, and if Alaskans no longer had to pay federal income tax to support the reckless wasteful spending of U.S. politicians, millions of people from across the U.S. and all around the world would want to move to Alaska. As the U.S. dollar continues to rapidly lose its purchasing power, the likelihood of Alaska and other states moving towards secession will greatly increase. In 2006, an organization collected the required signatures to place on Alaska's fall ballot an initiative to have Alaska secede from the union, but the State Supreme Court ruled any attempt at secession to be illegal and unconstitutional. NIA believes that U.S. states have the legal right to secede from the union. U.S. courts have proven time and time again that they will incorrectly interpret the U.S. Constitution in order to protect the government's destructive illegal actions while selectively ignoring provisions that protect American's rights. The U.S. is addicted to waging illegal wars against countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and soon to be Syria. The U.S. is also addicted to money printing, in large part to pay for its illegal wars. These dangerous addictions are unconstitutional, because the U.S. Constitution said wars must be approved by Congress and only gold and silver shall be used as legal tender. The act of secession is a very powerful tool that should only be used during times in which the Federal Government's actions threaten the freedom and liberty of the citizens they swore to protect. Secession is legal and constitutional because without it there is nothing to keep the Federal Government in check and force them to rein in out of control deficit spending that threatens our very existence as a sovereign nation.
It is important to spread the word about NIA to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, if you want America to survive hyperinflation. Please tell everybody you know to become members of NIA for free immediately at: http://inflation.us

Political and legal recourse has so far failed to
produce tangible results, and is unlikely to do so before a serious
crisis unfolds. So the question is; what solutions are left to us?
At Alt-Market and Oath Keepers, we believe that the
best solutions are those which can be implemented by each individual
American without reliance on legislators, bureaucracy, or political
solutions alone. While we do encourage people to take back
their towns, counties, and state governments, kicking out the corrupt
oath breakers and replacing them with solid liberty advocates, we must
also work outside the political sphere, taking personal responsibility
to strengthen ourselves and our communities by private action and free
association.
The Founders never intended that we simply sit around and wait for “officials” to save us. We must work both in the public and in the private arenas. We
certainly don’t have time to wait for lawmakers to find their sanity or
their honor, and so, in many respects we must walk away from the rigged
game entirely, and take matters into our own hands. This
means first and foremost decoupling from the broken mainstream financial
system, and building networks for Alternative Markets as well as for
mutual defense in the event of disaster.
First steps towards this end include relocating away from areas with a high potential for danger. Of course, in any region, prepping with food storage, survival gear, and a personal garden is essential. Ideally, your neighbors should also be aware, prepared, and already involved in food production and barter. You
should strive to build such robust community wherever you are (even if
in the city), but country settings definitely offer greater opportunity. Rule #1: Go where the food is! Regardless of the state you live in, get out of the city and into a rural area.
Next, a community’s proximity to urban environments must be considered. Many
rural retreats are still vulnerable to being flooded by unprepared city
dwellers in search of food at the onset of collapse. James Wesley,
Rawles, of Survival Blog, refers to this as the “Golden Hoard”, and
advocates living at least one tank of gas distance from major
metropolitan areas.
Just as there are better places to live in each
state, there are also better states to live in; what we call “Safe
Havens.” Rural states with low population, abundant water, plentiful
game, natural resources, fertile farmland, and defensible terrain, along
with a relatively self reliant population, can rightly be considered
safe haven states. These states will fare better than others in adapting and overcoming in the face of any crisis.
Many fantastic efforts have been launched over the past decade which follow this concept. One is the Free State Project, which eventually selected New Hampshire, and another is the Wyoming Free State Project, which was started by Free State Project participants who opted out of East Coast relocation. There was also the Montana Alliance for Liberty, started by folks who likewise declined to consider New Hampshire. I
(Stewart Rhodes) was also in the Free State Project but likewise opted
out of the East Coast states and moved to Montana in 2005. And now Alt-Market’s Brandon Smith is moving to Montana. In
the past year Pastor Chuck Baldwin, the 2008 Constitution Party
presidential candidate, along with his son Timothy Baldwin and their
families, have moved to Montana, with the same goals in mind. In response to Pastor Baldwin’s effective championing of Montana, many others have followed him by moving there. Most
recently, influential survivalist author James Wesley, Rawles has
promoted the concept of the Northern Rocky Mountain U.S. (Idaho,
Montana, Wyoming, eastern Oregon, and eastern Washington) as being the “American Redoubt” – a refuge in time of coming trouble, and likewise has renewed interest in relocation to that region.
All of the above projects provide a solid framework for those seeking refuge amongst like-minded people. Our
goal is to learn from, provide support for, and build onto these
existing projects until full fledged large scale liberty minded
communities become a reality. While some people might feel
perfectly comfortable in their current location, or have an existing
community to work with, many other Americans out there do not. Read Full Article
