Darci Edwards 2009-02-05 19:33:42 My husband and I have been married for three and a half years. We got married at the justice of the peace as a solution for the previous sinful lifestyle we had been living. What would you suggest we do in order to dissolve a marriage contract with the state the is potentially harmful to me my husband, and our children?
Keith Humphrey 2009-03-03 21:17:08 The most important thing is for you to transfer your allegiance from the what the State recognizes as “marriage”, to how marriage is defined by the Word of God. If your matrimony is pure and holy, as sanctioned by God, the matter of it being “licensed” by the State or not is rendered irrelevant. In many cases, it is not necessarily expedient to “unregister” a birth, a marriage, or social security number. The State will try to assume jurisdiction regardless. Some people recommend changing your legal name, and then intentionally neglecting to register for new documents under your new name.
